Classwork: We briefly reviewed the concept of Primary vs. Secondary Sources.  Then we read out loud the Cafeteria Fight.  There were many characters.  Some were eyewitnesses, some were not.  Who are the Primary Sources?  Who are Secondary Sources but still important?  Which ones did you consider reliable or not and why?

Homework:  Discuss with your family the problems one can encounter with Primary Sources.  Just because it's Primary, does that make it necessarily true OR accurate?  Discuss:
  • BIAS
  • HOW A PERSPECTIVE ISN'T NECESSARILY THE WHOLE TRUTH

Classwork: We went over the Power Point of Primary vs. Secondary Sources.  We played a scenario game where we had to determine whether the scenario was referring to a Primary source or a Secondary source

Homework:  Discuss with your family the difference is between a Primary and a Secondary Source.  Discuss the need for primary sources.  What is so special about them?
