Classwork:  We analysed the movie The Lorax, and connected the symbolism Dr. Seuss was using for our Great Lakes Unit

Homework:  Watch or READ the book the Lorax.  Free on Youtube!  Finish the chart.  Remember we want to hear PROS for USING the Resources and PROS for PROTECTING the Resources.

Classwork:  We have read the article on the "The Sad State of Our Once Great Lakes" TWICE.  We have discussed the negative effects of pollution, pesticides, invasion of foreign species on the Great Lakes.  We will answer 4 basic questions on the article and then COMPARE it with a new article from Canada of how billions of gallons of raw sewage waste is being put into the St. Lawrence River.  It's all in Google Classroom.

Homework:  Discuss the articles with your Parents.  Do you see similarities?  Do you see differences?
