Objective:  Today, students worked on IDENTIFICATION of 12 different climate zones.

Classwork:  Today, kids finished their worksheets on filling out the missing component of: symbol, term, or definition.  After completing that, we worked in team of three on an ACT IT OUT for climate zones.  Students must be able to answer three questions for the ACT IT OUT:

1. Where is this climate zone located?

2. What are the characteristics of the climate zone?

3.  How does the climate zone affect clothing, housing, and leisure activities?  Feel free to add anything else you can think of that would be affected.

Homework:  Be working on ideas for this ACT IT OUT.  We will perform Monday.

Objective:  Not only will I be able to identify 13 key landforms, I will also be able to DEFINE them.
Classwork: We finished up the worksheet dealing with landform identification.  Students identified and defined 13 key land forms.  Then we proceeded to act out the landforms in teams of 3 in a game of Landform Charades.

Homework:  Although it won't be graded, feel free to go on Google Maps or Google Earth and see examples of landforms from Space.  Look on Google Images at specific spots of straits, plateaus, isthmus, delta, bay, gulf, canyon, mountain range, river, basin, plain, peninsula, and lake.
